Sorry for the lack of pictures lately.
I take 99% of our pictures on my iPhone.
I've taken so many pics on it that it's all blurry and the color is faded.
I'm bummed.
If you miss seeing cute pictures on a daily basis then maybe you should buy me a new phone with a good camera (aka the iPhone4).
My current iPhone has served us well... 3,000+ pictures later.

No I love you.
Caleb has taught Parker to say, "No. I love you!"
It's so precious to hear him say it... he says it so quickly that you have to be listening for it. He also thinks is so funny and shakes his head no.

Another Wonderful Wednesday
Ms. Penny, the assistant director at Parker's school, said that today she was singing a song about God making Mommy and Daddy to Parker. As soon as she said Daddy, Parker said, "Daddy big truck."
She said she stopped singing because she was laughing and asked Parker, "Do you have a Daddy?" His reply, "Big truck."
So cute.
I told her that ever since he could talk he has associated his Daddy with work and truck.
Adorable.
---
Tonight Parker and I went to church for dinner and then Mainly Music. Shannon and Blaine were there. Blaine and Parker were SO excited to see each other... Well really Blaine started the excitement and Parker picked up on it. :) They hugged and kissed one another. They both enjoyed Mainly Music. Next week I am going to make sure and take my camera... It was soooo cute!

A Penny for a Banana
So last night I went to Kroger for a few groceries... I wanted to get some bananas. They had a white bag full of bananas for .25.
Yes, that's right- a QUARTER for the whole bag.
You know I'm pretty frugal (frugal sounds much nicer than saying cheap) so I bought a bag.
We ate a few of the bananas before I counted, but we think there were 23 bananas in the bag.
A tad over a penny each.
Woohoo.
Next time, I will buy more than one bag.
Seriously.
I only threw two of the bananas out- both were oozing out of the peal.
I made two batches of banana nut muffins and froze the rest of the bananas for another baking day.
Delicious.
Cheap.
While I spent my afternoon baking, Parker played and played and played.

Another Monday. Another day at work and school. Another Shot.
Parker got his FINAL shot this afternoon.
I told him from the moment I picked up at school that we were going to the doctor and once we were finished we would go to Spoons for ice cream.
He didn't cry until the nurse came in and started talking to him. (She's the one who gives the shots.)
He cried really hard.
Really.
Hard.
I felt so bad for him.
Once again, it was in his leg.
Once again, he pulled the bandaid off immediately.
Poor guy.
We are hoping and praying that these shots are part of God's miracle for his ears.

Lunch, Firestation and Grandparents = Trip to Irving
Last night we drove to Irving just for a weekend visit. The FIRST time this YEAR that we have not had an obligation in Irving (ie. wedding or a wedding shower).
Woohoo!
For lunch today we met part of the Story's at Babe's. Our favorite place to eat, I'm pretty sure, in the whole world.
Seriously.
Unlimited food.
Great atmosphere.
And with our family who we haven't seen near enough this year.
(Hopefully Terry will email me pics so we can post them from our lunch.)
At Babe's there was a chicken in the rafters.
Oh- the chicken was fake.
Caleb made the comment that he hoped that the chicken didn't poop on anyone's head.
Guess what Parker said the ENTIRE lunch?
He would point to the chicken and say, "chicken poop."
Uncle Kenny was not able to join us for lunch because he was working. So we visited him at the fire station.
Parker was in heaven.
Ken works at the Las Colinas fire station.
The firemen gave Parker a badge sticker and color book. (And a few extras for later.)
At first Parker was mesmerized by the tractors across the street until Ken allowed Caleb and Parker to get on the fire truck.
Here they are looking at all of the hoses. Parker thought it was pretty cool.
Ken told Caleb and Parker to get in the passenger side of the truck and that they would pull the truck out on the driveway and then spray some water.
Loaded up and ready to go.
Parker cried when he had to get out of the truck. He wasn't ready for his time in truck to end.
He was fine once Uncle Kenny sprayed water for him and then allowed Parker to spray the water, of course with Dad's assistance.
Once they were finished spraying water Caleb, Parker and Uncle Kenny loaded up in the truck and we thought they were going to back the truck in.
Wrong.
Think again.
THEY DROVE OFF! I was standing there watching them drive off!
They went around the block. Caleb called this VIP treatment. It's the perk of your uncle being the official driver of the truck (even though 2 of the guys at the station pointed out that the new curbs at the fire station were rounded off for Ken. haha.) .
After they came back and backed the truck in, Parker kept saying tractor. tractor. tractor.
He had somehow spotted their mowing tractor that was stashed between two trucks.
He's so observant.
Of course the trip wouldn't have been complete without Parker sitting on the tractor.
We really enjoyed the visit. After we left, Caleb told Parker he didn't know who enjoyed the fire station more- Daddy or Parker.
It's so neat that we went by there because I would visit the fire station when I was smaller. Uncle Kenny was stationed right around the corner from Granny & Gramps' house. I thought this was what all kids did- visited the fire station! :)
After the fire station visit, we went to Nana and Papa's house.
Here are a few pics:
Playing after his bath.
Papa likes to say, "I'm going to get you."
So Parker would say, "Papa gonna get you."
It was so cute.
After we left Nana and Papa's house, we went by Granny and Gramps's. They had just got back in town from Glorietta, NM. Parker loved getting to see them, even if it was just for a few minutes.

Another Shot.
This afternoon Parker got his second of three shots.
As soon as we drove up in the parking lot he started crying. I calmed him down by assuring him that I would take him to get ice cream after we saw the doctor.
He got his shot and it was painful. He cried but was a big boy.
He took his bandaid off again and immediately wanted it in the trash. He kept patting his leg saying, "doctor. doctor. doctor."
It hurt.
The nurse gave him a sticker and sucker. He loved the sucker. When we were getting on the elevator, I told him that before we left the building he was going to throw his sucker away so we could go get ice cream. He looked at his sucker and said trash. He started looking around for a trashcan. I explained that he could have his sucker til we got off the elevator. (At this point we were still waiting to get on the elevator.) He spotted a trash and gladly threw his sucker away.
We went to Spoons for ice cream. He wanted to sit outside but there were NO spots outside. I thought that by sitting by the window that would suffice.
Nope.
I didn't know what I was going to do because EVERY table was full outside. I tried distracting him by trying to feed him ice cream.
Unsuccessful.
So I put him on my hip (he was still sore from the shot in his leg), purse on my shoulder, ice cream in one hand and chair in the other.
We took one chair out on the patio and sat there and ate our ice cream.
He was happy and loved his treat for being a big boy at the hospital.
We filled up our frequent card at Spoons and have a free ice cream waiting on us. Guess we'll go Monday after his third and final shot.

Again.
Parker did not sleep last night.
He was up every hour and half- two hours.
At 8:05 this morning Caleb called me.
Parker had a fever.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
What is going on?
He stayed home for the day and then I took him to the doctor this afternoon. He has the same ear infection. They are trying shots. One today, tomorrow and Monday. If he's not clear in 2 weeks, it's time for tubes.
Poor guy.
They warned me that the shot would hurt and burn for a while. After they gave him the shot in his leg, he was crying a lot. Usually he cries because he is mad that they held him down. It took him longer to settle down so I knew it was hurting him. He ripped the bandaid off. I tried to put it back on him. He told me no. I think he thought that the bandaid is what was hurting him.
Then a little later he was touching his leg and saying, "Mommy." I felt so bad for him! I told him we would go get ice cream.
By the time we got out of the doctors office it was time for dinner. I thought well I've already told him he could have ice cream, how could I explain to him that he had to eat first.... at his age he's a one track mind kinda guy.
We went to McDonald's and I got a 4 piece nugget for me (I was starving) and an ice cream cone for him. He wanted the nuggets.
So I had the ice cream and two nuggets. He got a Happy Meal.
We're praying that these painful shots do the trick.
Oh and I forgot to mention that the nurse tried to occupy Parker with one of those big popsicle sticks they stick on your tongue to look in your throat. He looked at me and said, "Popsicle." What a disappointment.

Wonderful Wednesday
Here Parker is reading the Toys R Us Magazine. He went to bed with it Monday night. It's so cute watching him "read" it. He already does a good job at picking out the expensive toys.
We went to Chelsea, Cody and Chandler's tonight for dinner. I'm amazed at how quickly Chandler is changing and growing. I really did forget how much that happens, especially during the first year. He's so cute.
Parker was very attentive to him. When Chandler would cry he would say, "Tia baby." He did not like for him to cry.

Reach. Reach. Reach.
Parker is being on reaching things. When he wants to reach something, he says, "reach."
Last night I was in his closet getting his clothes set out for today.
He came in and said "reach" and pointed to something in the top of his closet. I explained to him that he didn't need it. He turned around and walked out of his closet. I thought that was way too easy of an explanation for him to just agree with me and leave.
I got busy back in his closet and a few seconds later he came back in his closet with his red stool saying, "reach. reach. reach. reach. reach. reach."
He is definitely a boy who knows what he wants and a problem solver to get it.

Pic Blast from the Past....
My Dad and Terry came to visit us back in July. I'm just now able to upload the pics... our internet is slow at home and it's taking for ever to download them, save them and upload to here... short story.... here they are!
They had a good time blowing bubbles and playing at the park.
They also helped up switch Parker's room and the guestroom and Terry and I went shopping for Parker's bedding. We all had a great weekend and enjoyed the visit.

Sunday Fun-day with our Family! :)
Tonight we went to Lake Bryan and ate at the Hook.
We left once it was getting dark and the "night crowd" was gathering.
We left once it was getting dark and the "night crowd" was gathering.
Of course Parker LOVED hanging out there.
He rearranged many of the chairs and enjoyed watching the few boats that were out in the lake. I attempted taking about 20 pictures, but they were all blurry because Mr. Parker isn't as cooperative now days when it comes to taking pics.

He HAS to play in the vehicle before we get out.
It was so nice out last night that we all sat in the car (all of us except Ranger who wanted to go back inside the house) for a few minutes.
He was in HEAVEN.

This afternoon Caleb was eating a popsicle and Parker decided he wanted one. Caleb would end up eating it because Parker wasn't eating them fast enough. 6 popsicles later, we went outside and let Parker eat two popsicles all by himself.
When Caleb would ask for a bite, Parker would run to the corner in the porch. He was determined to not share anymore with his Daddy.
