Serious Business...

Today my mom was in town and we got up and went shopping. Or as Brenda likes to call it, we were stimulating the economy! Caleb spent time with Parker at the house. Parker was doing some serious work on the computer.

We got the call this afternoon that Chelsea, Caleb's sister, was admitted to the hospital and should have Chandler sometime in the next 24 hours! :) We can't wait to meet him!

Work and Nap

Today Parker and I had to tend to some real estate stuff. We went to another agents office to turn in a lease for some clients and then worked on some other paperwork at home. He was such a big boy!
After he ate lunch, I put him down for a nap. He was in there for a whole hour and I thought he was asleep. All of a sudden, I heard him start crying. I immediately thought he had fallen off the bed. I rushed in there to find him sitting up on his bed, leaning on the rail and all of his toys and a few pillows thrown on the floor. He had been awake the whole hour and had thrown his trucks off of the bed. He was crying out because he wanted me to get his trucks for him. I laid back down with him, told him he needed to shut his eyes and go to sleep. He would shut his eyes really tight and then open them briefly to see if I were watching him. It was so cute. He finally fell asleep.

Happy 21 Mirthday, Parker!

*Today Parker is 21 months old- hence the title of this blog... get it?? It's his Month Birthday (Mirthday).

This week the "theme" at Parker's school was "Gone Fishin'." Here are two pictures he made this week:

While Parker was at school today, I participated in the "Stuff the Bus" school supply drive with Junior League. We were at the Brazos Center and people in the community came and donated school supplies or money for the students in the Brazos Valley who need school supplies for the upcoming school year.
Here are a couple of pictures of Parker playing. I had to take his clothes off of him after he ate yogurt because he made a big mess of it! Needless to say, he ran around for a bit in his diaper and tennis shoes.
Notice how he has his glove on. This is how he does it all the time- the glove faces him and he wants to throw the ball from the glove. Don't worry Story family- we are working on the correct way to wear/ use it. :)
Jon is in town so we went to Fuego for dinner. Here is Parker posing for a pic. He's liking the side profile pics these days.
After Fuego we sat on our neighbors porch while Parker and the dogs played. Parker found his toothbrush on the side of the neighbor's house. I'm still not sure how the toothbrush a) made it outside and b) how it made it's way to the neighbors yard.

He was cracking up clapping at the dogs and birds. We get the dogs attention to come inside by clapping sometimes. He's trying it out himself.

Bomber's Game!

Tonight we took Parker to the Bomber's Baseball Game. He enjoyed it. He kept wanting a ball and pointing for Caleb to get him one from the field. Caleb picked him up and told him that he would try to catch him a ball. (This was after I told Caleb we were not going to buy our 21 month old son a Bombers Ball.) Caleb held Parker for the rest of the game (which was a while) "waiting for a ball to come to them" and Parker was completely enthralled in the game and conversation with Caleb. I really enjoy seeing them interact together like that. I asked Caleb what they talked about and he said the pitcher, catcher, ball, hat and other things about the game.

After we got home we went out back for a few minutes. Patches stayed inside because Ranger was playing with the basketball and that bothers Patches. Parker's giggle box got turned on as he was playing with Patches through the back door windows.

Terrific Tuesday

This morning Caleb had his weekly breakfast with a few guys, so I was on Parker duty. I put him in his booster seat for breakfast and he buckled himself in. I was pretty proud of him!
Headed to school. I went to Old Navy this weekend and stocked him up on clothes. The shoes he has on here were $2.50 and the shirt was under $2.
We bought Parker a train table. I put it in his room today and he played with it for a few minutes when he got home from school.

"It's way easier to move these trains around the track if I just sit on the track." - Parker

Headed to the Pool

We met Opal and her kids at the Rock Prairie Pool today. Parker was stylin' as he entered with his Reef Flip-Flops and shades on. We had a great time- he really loves playing with Sebastian!

His Own Sense of "Style"

You can't see it, but he has a sticker of a dog on his collar. When he gets a sticker, he puts it on his shirt and takes good care of it. He loves showing it off.

Better late than never...

A few pictures from swim lessons when Caleb got in the water with him.

Target

Trying out a new shopping cart at Target this morning.
He LOVED it and DID NOT want to get out to leave!

He's in a BIG BOY BED!

We moved Parker's rooms today!
He LOVES his new bed!
The walls look yellow here, but they aren't.

It's a Love Hate Relationship- Really.

Parker and Patches can be the best of friends or the worst enemies in a matter of seconds.
Parker gives Patches anxiety.
Patches gives Parker kisses when he gets his diaper changed.
Parker loves to tell Patches no.
Patches loves to beg Parker for food. I'm pretty sure Parker slips him some but likes to pretend he's annoyed by Patches.

"Old" pic... but worth sharing

I thought this pic was super cute and I forgot to put it on the blog.
It's from last week after a bath.

I know you'll want to just pinch his little bottom....

Caleb took these this morning while he was getting Parker's breakfast taken care of.
Thankfully he didn't pee in the toaster or flour canister! :)

Travel Day and Seeing Granny Gramps

Today we drove home from Jennifer and Ben's. We detoured slightly and met Granny and Gramps in Fairfield for lunch at Sam's. It was great getting to visit with them.
Parker slept for about 45 minutes before we got there, but when he woke up, he was in a great mood and extremely excited to see Granny and Gramps. We had a delicious lunch.
Parker found a super cute stick horse that neighs and gallops when you push its ears. Of course Gramps had to buy it for him. ;) Pics to come soon.

Artwork

Today was "Circus Day" at Parker's school. He made this cute picture and came home with a little circus box that had snacks and stickers in it. I tried to find the box to take a pic of it, but no telling where Parker has stashed it at.

Parker's teacher, Ms. Megan, at , Hillcrest texted me this picture this morning.
It's my current favorite pic:

Around Tyler

At Just a Dollar in Tyler. Just so you know, I bought the ball. The hat stayed at the store.
Brookeshire's has these cute little shopping carts with "Customer in Training" on a little flag on the pole on it. Once Jennifer and I convinced Parker to push the buggy, he was hooked.
