Ever heard of a wick in your ear?

Today I took Parker to the ENT. He has snot colored drainage coming from his ear- it's uper gross. The tubes ARE working because they are draining the fluid out, but there's something still going on in his ear that's causing the drainage.
They dropped a little sponge down in his ear today; it's called a wick. It's supposed to absorb the medicine to ensure that the whole ear is getting drops in it. It will also absorb the drainage. It will probably fall out as soon as some of the swelling in the ear canal is down (as early as 24 hours). They gave him a different kind of drops and gave him an oral steroid to help with the swelling.
We are hoping and praying that this all ends soon!
Thank you Jesus for the tubes working though! :)
